  3. 03

    Learn and Improve

Use suggestions to revise in your own voice and build your skills.

Planned report

Detailed grading report: feedback that explains the next step.

A future report is intended to make its reasoning visible. It will not be an official grade or a substitute for your instructor's rubric.

  • Overall score out of 100

A planned educational estimate, explained in context.

  • Criterion-level scores

A breakdown showing how each writing area contributes.

  • Written feedback and evidence

Comments connected to specific parts of your writing.

  • Strengths, weaknesses and next steps

A short, useful order for revising your own draft.

Assessment criteria

The exact rubric may vary by essay type and assignment. A future assessment may consider:

  • Organization and paragraph flow
  • Thesis and argument
  • Evidence and supporting details
  • Clarity and sentence flow
  • Grammar and mechanics
  • Relevance to the assignment

Strengths and weaknesses

The intended feedback will help students notice what is working and decide which revision matters most.

  • What a draft already does well.
  • Where an argument needs clearer reasoning.
  • Which claims need relevant evidence.
  • Where wording is hard to follow and what to address first.

Planned capability; not yet available in the preview.

Revision ideas

Practical ways to improve a draft.

EssayGrader intends to offer suggestions students can evaluate and apply themselves. No academic outcome is guaranteed.

  • Make a thesis specific enough to guide the whole essay.
  • Connect each claim to relevant evidence and explain why it matters.
  • Give paragraphs a clear purpose and a logical order.
  • Revise sentences that are hard to follow or unnecessarily long.
  • Fix writing issues in an order that protects your main ideas first.
